2020 Pink + White, Grape Friend's Blend

Taste / Feel:

A Grape Friends exclusive! This is a super limited one-off wine made from one barrel of Direct Press Pinot Gris and one barrel of Pinot Noir sparkling base that we normally hold back for our sparkling label, Sparkle Motion. Blended at nearly 50 Pinot Noir / 50 Pinot Gris, this wine shows the acid and restraint you might expect from sparkling wine, but with tons of texture and structure from full lees fermentation. Reminiscent of cherry-lime aid, tire swings into cold spring rivers, lemon gelato and your favorite old t-shirt. Hand bottled via gravity by Andy, Willi and their good friend Jessie on a recent spring afternoon.

Vineyard(s):

700 - 800ft elevation, own-rooted, dry-farmed, Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris on loess soils. Farmed without glyphosate, herbicides, or pesticides. Cover crop of native plants / flowers, poppys, root vegetables and edible leafy greens.
